Competitive Program

The Competitive Program is designed for fencers who will compete at regional, national, or international levels regularly. Usually, students who complete the Advanced Fencing Program at EFA or similar level programs at other clubs can enroll in this program.

The fencers at the Competitive Fencing Level Program improve:

  • Advanced foot and handwork
  • Achieving superior distance management
  • Developing technical proficiency
  • Deepening their grasp of fencing regulations
  • Engaging more in paired fencing drills
  • Strengthening both offensive and defensive techniques
  • Gaining an understanding of fencing strategies
  • Improvement of the athlete’s physical attributes
  • Competence at competitions
  • Analysis of performance at competition

Structure

The training program will take place 4 times per week, with 1 of these sessions lasting 2.5 hours each, 2 sessions lasting 1.5 hours, and a Saturday session open Fencing bouts to all levels, with a maximum duration of 5 hours.

At this training level, the focus will be on mastering control during bouts under the watchful eye of the coach, ensuring that actions learned in individual lessons and paired drills are practiced correctly and effectively. Training intensity will increase to enhance specific endurance in fencing and include a more detailed analysis of technique, tactics, and athletic qualities.
