Elite Program

DURATION

The Elite Program is designed for fencers who will compete at regional, national, or international levels regularly. Usually, students who complete the Advanced Fencing Program at EFA or similar level programs at other clubs can enroll in this program.

The fencers at the Elite Fencing Level Program improve:

  • Advanced foot and handwork
  • Achieving superior distance management
  • Developing technical proficiency
  • Deepening their grasp of fencing regulations
  • Engaging more in paired fencing drills
  • Strengthening both offensive and defensive techniques
  • Gaining an understanding of fencing strategies
  • Improvement of the athlete’s physical attributes
  • Competence at competitions
  • Analysis of performance at competition
  • The ability to build about per opponent’s strength and weaknesses

Structure

At this level, fencers can train up to 5 times per week for 2.5 hours each session and participate in open Fencing bouts on Saturdays, which lasts for 5 hours.

At this stage, athletes should be progressing to the highest level, mentally and physically transitioning into professional athletes. The focus will be on developing the fencer as a professional athlete. This includes all physical aspects of preparation, personalized coaching tailored to the fencer’s style, and advice on nutrition and daily routines.
